The Results are In!

Drum rollllll............

Here's the results of my first week of hard work!

Weight: 153.4 lbs  TWO LBS DOWN
Arms: 12"
Waist: 30" ONE INCH OFF
Hips: 38" HALF INCH OFF
Butt: 42" ONE INCH OFF
Thigh: 25"
What I'm trying to get back to:
Weight: 144lbs  Pounds to go- 9.6
Arms: NK
Waist: 28" Two inches to go
Hips: 35" Three inches to go
Butt: 40" Two inches to go
Thigh: 23" Two inches to go

At first I was frustrated because I wanted bigger numbers like I had this Spring, but then I remembered it gets harder to lose, the smaller you are.  Two pounds in one week is a healthy, solid weight loss that can be repeated.  So hitting my goals by Labor Day is do-able, if I stay on track!

Week two is supposed to be the hardest because you get lazy or plateau, so it helps my sis-in-law is gonna be down and she's wanting to hop on this fitness train while she's here.  Always better when you have encouragement!

I like that I've kept a food diary on here so I know where I can trim back and be a higher percent of Paleo so I can keep seeing results.  I know I had more fruit than I should have for weight loss last week.  I was replacing my chocolate addiction with the sweetness of fruit.  Hopefully it won't be as bad this week.  I can also cut back (or off) my agave use in coffee, if needed.  Might try to do more hot tea instead because I can drink that without any sweetener in it.

Sunday was my rest day- although I did a TON of scrubbing around the house so it wasn't really that restful.  Monday might be day of rest too as I've gotten a cold now- I think I'm allergic to cleaning! ;)

Like always, ya gotta have a plan- so here's mine for the week!

This Week
Meals:
Better Butter Chicken - Everything on Sarah's site is yummy and the directions are easy to follow.  Hubs loves this recipe because it reminds him of the butter chicken he'd get in Bali (think Indian flavors).  I serve it over riced cauliflower w broccoli.  And I usually double or triple the recipe because we all eat gobs of it- even Liam!

Hungry Man Sweet Potato Casserole - Crock pot cooking is the best!!  Set it and forget it and the whole house smells yummo come dinner time!  Probably will use on one of the nights we go to a late gym class.

Pepperoni Pizza Pot Pie - This is from the Fast Paleo site.  I've never tried it and have had a few tweaks needed with other recipes I've made from this site.  It's submitions from other Paleo people, but I don't know if third party actual tries them out before posting on the site. The Shepherd's Pie last week wasn't my favorite- I've gotta find which recipe I used before because that was pretty spot on. I might swap out the pepperoni for Canadian Ham, sundried tomatoes, spinach, and kalamata olives.

Satay Chicken w Almond Butter Sauce - I've made this before and hubs liked it a lot too (again the Indo- influence).  I'm not sure if this is the exact recipe I tried before, but we'll give it a shot.

Steak w Asparagus- I've got to find this Paleo marinade hubby liked and do it again.  Silly me for not saving recipes that work!  It was "sweet" he said so I'm thinking it had honey and herbs in it.  I try to look for one that has no EVOO or balsamic (he doesn't care for those- pity me!).  Stay tuned if I find it!

Spinach Artichoke Dip w Sweet Potato Chips - I miss this snack a lot and was so excited PaleOMG has a recipe!!  I figured I have company this week- I should have snacks for us too!

Also making the PaleOMG cheesecake I linked in a post last week (Thurs?).  All will be under the Recipe tab one day. If this baby ever takes his nap. Go to sleep so mommy can blog!!

Bacon-Crusted Meatballs w Mango Honey Mustard Sauce - These looked pretty amazing too.  I pretty much want to eat Juli's website (PaleOMG).  Not sure if I'll have time (or feel like it), but they will pop up on the menu in the near future!

Exercise: Sticking with the flexibility, cardio, strength combo so I'm trying to do Pilates, Power Yoga, a different PowerLift class, Spin and Elliptical again
