Another week.
I know I didn't make progress like I wanted to. Need to get more serious. Workouts need to be upped. Paleo eating is going pretty well except for the brownie situation this weekend. I wish I hated desserts. I even tried to bring my cake in a mug stuff, but left almond flour at home and was too lazy to go find more in Panama City. And you wonder why you still have love handles.
I've been inspired by my brother's blog burpeesandbacon.blogspot.com to go back to posting every day what I'm eating. I make a more conscious effort to balance my plate that way. And he reminded me of the "Process". So not only do you have to eat the right foods, you have to eat the right COMBINATION of foods to maximize metabolism. I need to go reread that part in Robb Wolf's book and be stricter about my combos because I'm stuck in a plateau.
But I feel good! I don't ache, had energy to play soccer w Ri a few afternoons this week.
I wanna make this blog more fun-looking so I played around with the layout and I want to add pictures too. I take them already, usually of dinner, and post to Facebook for those of us swapping recipe ideas and to show people curious about Paleo how absolutely delicious it can be! I should probably put some before pics up here too to keep me motivated. When the weight comes of slow and steady you forget how far you've come. I know how good I feel though and that's been awesome enough.
I just need to find a routine time to blog so I can stick with it. I would say during the baby's nap, but I'm usually doing something like cleaning or cooking. I would say after the kids go to bed, but that's been a struggle lately. I have crazy children and I don't know why. Liam used to be out for the night at 6:30p and Riley done by 8:00p. Now Ri is more like 8:30p and Liam is unsettled in his crib until 9 sometimes. By then, I spend 30 mins with hubs to watch a show and then I'm dunzo. Mostly because they crazies get up all hours of the night. Turns out both kids have nightmares at the same time sometimes- which is super great. And Liam is teething which is extra neat. I know I got one full night sleep last week and I was wide awake at 5:30a because of it. Think of what all I could get done if I was rested and woke on my own at 5:30 every day?? I could blog, I could work out, I could do awesome stuff. Pleeeaaaassseeee babies sleeeeeeeeppppppp.
So a week's gone by and that means it's stats time right? Nope! Tricked you! I'm waiting until Monday. Am I stacking my numbers? Maaaybe. Is that a crime? No, because Monday is the new check-in day for me. So I don't slack on weekends and think I'll make it up over the week if I work extra hard. It doesn't happen. So check back on stats Monday. I gotta work this. I have 3 weeks until the Mardi Gras ball and yes, the dress zips, but it should NOT be worn out in public at this point. Unless I plan to show up super late to the ball so people are already trashed and think back fat rolls are hot by that point.
FOCUS!
