Back to the Grind

So Summer flew by and school is back in session.  I have a FOURTH GRADER??  So weird.  Not sure when it was I grew up and was deemed responsible enough to have a kid approaching double digits.

But at least now we can get back into a routine.  Routines always help when I'm trying to exercise and eat right. All of the thinking and planning is nearly done for me!  I got through summer reasonably fine but I didn't get to the gym as much as I would have liked.  Time to hit it up again, get more definition, trim off some more fat and feel good going into the holidays.

Ideally it would be awesome to get 8 more lbs off, or down one more size.  I'm so short a few pounds can actually seem like a lot to my joints.  I'm not eating well and working out to lose weight and look a certain way (which is a nice nice benefit though).  I feel better and function better when I take care of myself.  Looking back to last July when I was so very miserable, could hardly function, hurt like an 80 year old with the flu on the daily, it made me so frustrated and sad because I was too young to feel that way.  My joints and body work better when I'm doing things right.  My eye is still messed up from shingles a year and a half ago; that's been the one thing I can't seem to fix.  Gonna try acupuncture next and if that doesn't help I'll try Restasis.  I want to hold off on rx drugs as long as possible so I have an arsenal to access when I'm older.  If I start now, I'm afraid I'll run out of options down the line.  This fuzzy, dry eye thing is driving me nuts.  I'm over it.

So we'll see how long I last this go 'round.  I hope it's good and long. Liam's easier to manage and I have days in the week carved out for me to get stuff done; I hope to get to blog and track more than in the past, but we'll see!

Next post will be where I'm at and the plan for the week.

Yayyy!!!!
